Fundraising car wash held on Saturday 3 November 2007 raises £1555 for the Square to Square Charity Cycle Challenge 2008
A fundraising car wash, held on Saturday 3 November 2007, at Newport Fire Station, Newport, Isle of Wight, raises £1555.15 for the Square to Square Charity Cycle Challenge 2008.
Members of the team, firefighters from Green Watch, Fire Control Centre staff, Wessex Cancer Trust volunteers, family and friends completed five hours of car washing and raised an impressive £1555.15 for the cycle challenge.
The total raised, as at 7 November 2007, for the Square to Square Charity Cycle Challenge now stands at £6,236.94.
Corporate sponsors also came forward and there will be more details soon.
The team would like to thanks all those that took part in the car wash, particularly Green Watch for all their hardwork and suport for the challenge, the very wet Teresa and of course all those who had their cars washed and kindly donated to the challenge.
