Christmas fundraising event in St Thomas’ Square , Newport, Isle of Wight raises £853 for Square to Square Charity Cycle Challenge 2008

The team, support crew, volunteers and supporters managed to collect £853 for the Square to Square Charity Cycle Challenge 2008 during the fundraising event held on Saturday 15 December 2008.

In a bitterly cold day the public generously donated £853 for the challengem with the fundraising event featuring a visit from Santa (in his grotto), the Fat Band (samba band – who kindly donated their time and services for free), and couple of fire appliances.

The team would like to thank all those who were involved and the generosity of the public.

The total raised now stands at £10,576.16, which is a fantastic effort from all concerned.
