On the Challenge: - I feel priviledged to be taking part in such a High Profile event. I am looking forward to this great experience and working as part of a Team to achieve this challenge.

The charity we are raising this money for is close to my heart as I lost my Mother to Lung Cancer back in 1988.

I am looking forward to helping people who are suffering from this illness by completing this challenge.

Since the launch of this SQ2SQ I have enjoyed working within the Community and seeing what this challenge will do for people on the Island.

Odds on completing the challenge: All I can say on this question is that the challenge will be tough with High / Low points but I will achieve the challenge and come out on a high, because believe me, we have a Team of true grit and determination with only one aim.

Body Composition

Each cyclist is having his body composition analysed during the lead up and during the challenge.

The body composition monitoring is measuring the cyclist's weight, body fat percentage, water percentage, visceral fat, muscle mass, bone mass, basal metabolic rate, and metabolic age.

Training

All of the cyclists are undertaking an intense period of training leading up to the challenge in September 2008.

Each individual cyclist is starting his training from  varying level of fitness, with the aim of achieving a satisfactory level of fitness prior to the challenge in order to be able to complete the 1,400 miles inn 14 days.
