On the Challenge: - We've all been touched by cancer, whether it's a family member, a friend or just someone we know. Some have won their battles, some are still fighting and some have lost. I watched a friends wife lose her battle but not without one hell of a fight and now I care. I'm a firefighter and I'm proud to say I love my job and I feel a great responsibility to serve the community in which I live.

Both myself and my colleagues have the opportunity to make a big difference to the diagnosis and treatment of island cancer patients. This cycle ride is a big ask, we're not athletes but we will do it, and doing so we will raise one hell of alot of money. That's a promise!
